Theatre in the Forest
Following the incredibly sad loss of their Artistic Director, Joanna Carrick, the team at Red Rose Chain have announced that Theatre in the Forest will be going ahead this summer.
Twelfth Night by William Shakespeare will run from the 22nd of July through to the 22nd of August 2026, with performances Tuesday to Saturday.
Expect plenty of laughs from the famous tale of mistaken identity — brought to life with puppetry, music, and Red Rose Chain’s signature imaginative style. It’s all designed to be accessible, family-friendly, and packed with fun, while still staying true to Shakespeare’s original words.
This year’s production is especially meaningful, performed in memory of the company’s founder Jo Carrick, whose unique Theatre in the Forest style continues to inspire audiences and performers alike.
Co-director David Newborn says it’s a celebration of her legacy — and a story that perfectly captures “love and joy emerging from the pain of loss.”
If you’re looking for a magical summer evening under the trees — this could be just the ticket.
Tickets are on sale now at www.redrosechain.com or by calling 01473 603388.
