Garden Trail returns to Suffolk
St Elizabeth Hospice’s much-loved Great Garden Trail is returning once again for this summer.
From Woodbridge to Beccles through to Felixstowe and Halesworth, a number of gardens across the region are opening their gates for the public to visit and enjoy this summer in aid of St Elizabeth Hospice, as part of its annual Great Garden Trail.
Great Garden Trail 2026 is being held from February to September, featuring a great variety of gardens supported by whole villages as well as beautiful hidden gems for the public to explore in return for a donation to St Elizabeth Hospice.
Kelly Nekrews, Community Fundraiser at St Elizabeth Hospice, said, “We are delighted to announce the return of the Great Garden Trail for its twelfth year.
“Each year, it’s such a privilege to see the fantastic, green-fingered talents of gardeners from across the county and we are so grateful for their continued support. Visit our website to see the full list of gardens taking part this year.
“We are also keen to welcome new gardens to the trail and would love to hear from garden owners who may be interested in sharing their spaces to help to raise funds for the hospice and its vital services.”
Over 50 gardens will feature in this year’s trail, from individual gardens to communities opening together for the public to explore this summer, including Felixstowe Open Gardens, Crow’s Hall, Nacton Open Gardens, Gosbeck and Columbine Hall.
Hew Stevenson, owner of Columbine Hall which has supported the hospice’s Great Garden Trail for many years, said, “We have opened our garden for several years for St Elizabeth Hospice and are delighted to raise money for such a worthy cause.
“We look forward to working with them again this year and welcoming visitors to our gardens in support of the hospice.”
