Added support offered to those looking to become Freelance
As 2021 continues amid fears of job security in the wake of the Coronavirus tier system, MENTA has increased their range of new business and sole trader support for those looking to become their own boss.
The package of support includes business planning templates, advice, marketing support and training as well as insights and training to bookkeeping, taxation and business grants and loans. The series of training is delivered free of charge across live video workshops and funded by the European Regional Development Fund to residents of both Norfolk and Suffolk. The funded programme ends in August this year and over the past few months, MENTA has experienced an increased uptake of interest from those choosing to go freelance.
John Neild leads the MENTA training programmes and says, “We are seeing highly experienced individuals with many years of business expertise choosing our package of support as they move or consider the move from being an employee to being their own boss and our support is designed to prepare the individual for the inevitable changes, not just in the processes of running your own business but the mindset and the disciplines, as well as the benefits”
If you live in either Norfolk of Suffolk, you can sign up to three fully funded training sessions from the link below and be assured that you will be receiving amongst the very best of business support and coaching available. MENTA records a customer satisfaction net promoter score that has it as listed second across the UK in positive customer feedback and satisfaction.

“I recently completed their start-up course, the third part completed via zoom which was much appreciated! I found the whole course has given me more confidence in my new business plans. There is so much to consider and the course has really helped focus my time and energy”
“I was looking for new business start-up advice so contacted MENTA who recommended their three free orkshops offering advice for new start-ups. The first MENTA LIVE session – Business Planning – was provided through video conferencing. Maggie and Emma in the admin team gave me clear instructions so that I could complete the enrolment forms and access the video conferencing. John Clarke and Shaun Lowthorpe hosted the session and it covered everything promised and allowed time for questions specific to each separate business idea. The course was following up quickly by an email from John attaching information and templates discussed during the morning. It gave me plenty to work on whilst waiting for the next two workshops to cover marketing and bookkeeping”
