Suffolk Sound joins Operation Santa Appeal

Suffolk Sound have announced that they have been appointed the official media partner for this year’s Operation Santa Appeal, supporting local charities across Suffolk.

The Operation Santa Appeal, a cherished annual initiative dedicated to bringing joy and essential resources to those in need has joined forces with Suffolk Sound to amplify its impact and reach within the community. This partnership marks a significant milestone in the stations commitment to making a positive difference where it matters most.

As the media partner, Suffolk Sound will leverage its extensive platform and influence to raise awareness, encourage auction prizes, and share inspiring stories about the incredible work of local charities involved in Operation Santa Appeal. Through compelling features, interviews, and promotional campaigns, Suffolk Sound aims to engage listeners across Suffolk, fostering a spirit of generosity and community support.

“We are honoured to partner with Operation Santa Appeal and lend our voice to this important cause,” said Rob Dunger, Director and co-founder of Suffolk Sound. “Together, we can make a meaningful impact in the lives of our neighbours and contribute to building a stronger, more compassionate community. Many people across Suffolk will remember the renowned Christmas appeal every year on Radio Orwell and so this partnership is a perfect fit for both parties.”

Ian Fountain from Operation Santa Appeal added, “The partnership between Suffolk Sound and Operation Santa Appeal underscores a shared commitment to enriching lives and spreading hope during the holiday season and beyond. Through collaborative efforts and the power of media, we aspire to make this year’s appeal the most successful yet, ensuring that vital resources reach those who need them most.”

The 2023 appeal raised much needed funds through an online auction in December, awarding grants to Brave Futures, EACH, RSPCA and Over The Rainbow to name just a few at the awards ceremony earlier this year.

This news comes on the back of the recent announcement of considerable investment for Suffolk Sound which in itself runs as a not-for-profit organisation. Richie Ross, co-founder of Suffolk Sound added, “The recent investment from a group of trusted business angels and investors allows us to spearhead our growth quicker than we had anticipated and forming close relationships with charities and good causes such as Operation Santa Appeal are part of that plan.”
