Suffolk Book League


On Wednesday 12th March the Suffolk Book League welcomes Noreen Masud. 

She will be talking about her memoir-travelogue, A Flat Place. Noreen is a Lecturer in English Literature at the University of Bristol, and an AHRC/BBC New Generation Thinker.

Her academic monograph, Stevie Smith and the Aphorism: Hard Language won the MSA First Book Award and the University English Prize.

A Flat Place was shortlisted for the Women’s Prize for Non-Fiction, the Sunday Times Charlotte Aitken Trust Young Writer of the Year Award, the Jhalak Prize, the RSL Ondaatje Prize and the Books Are My Bag Readers Awards

This event will be taking place at the Ipswich Institute Reading Room & Library, 15 Tavern Street, IP1 3AA.

Doors open at 7pm with the event starting at 7.30pm. Tickets, £5 for Suffolk Book League members or £10 for non-members and £2.50 for students can be obtained via the website www.suffolkbookleague.org/
