Could you be a Theatre Volunteer with Eastern Angles?

Eastern Angles are looking for theatre volunteers to help bring the magic of live theatre to Ipswich!

Eastern Angles have been performing in the Sir John Mills Theatre in Ipswich and touring across the East of England for forty years, throughout that history volunteers have been a vital part of their success. As they lead up to their new Christmas show Little Red, they are looking for new volunteers to join their friendly team.

Together with Eastern Angles staff, theatre volunteers create a warm, positive atmosphere on show days at the Sir John Mills Theatre. Their role includes welcoming audiences to the venue, selling refreshments, ushering audiences to their seats, and generally keeping everything running smoothly.

Alexandra Maher has been volunteering with Eastern Angles for around seven years, peaking about her time as a volunteer, she said: “Eastern Angles gives people the opportunity to get involved with theatre in a way that they may not have otherwise. You get to see how it works “behind the scenes” – it’s great fun meeting the actors and feeling part of what goes on…and being able to see the shows for free is a real bonus!”

Interested in joining this friendly team? Come along to one of their volunteer meet ups on Sunday 16th October at 2pm or Monday 17th October at 7pm, at the Sir John Mills Theatre (Eastern Angles Centre) on Gatacre Road. If you want to register your interest in attending or would just like a friendly chat about getting involved you can contact their Theatre & Volunteers Manager Jon on 01473 218202 or email jon@easternangles.co.uk
