King Arthur – by Le Navet Bete an Exeter based theatre group has been playing at The New Wolsey Theatre in Ipswich this week. To judge by the happy faces leaving the theatre their telling of the tales of King Arthur are certainly hitting the right note!
Le Navet Bete describe themselves as a physical comedy theatre company with a mission to create and tour hilarious, physical and totally accessible comedy theatre through engaging storytelling.
To say their telling of the Legend of King Arthur is loosely based on the historical stories we all know from the history books maybe true or have they hit on the real story?
No matter what it leads some great gags and superbly timed slapstick humour. The cast of just three take on a cast of, in their words, hundreds.
Definitely one for you if you want some fun, live theatre, you will not be disappointed.
King Arthur is at The New Wolsey until Saturday, 13th April and then on national tour.
