Civic Service in Ipswich to celebrate the King’s Coronation

A Civic Service to celebrate the coronation of King Charles III and Camilla Queen Consort will take place at St Mary Le Tower Church, Ipswich on Friday 5th May at 7:30pm, with Ipswich residents invited to attend.

Ahead of the Coronation Service at Westminster Abbey in London on Saturday 6 May, the Civic Service in the Town Centre Church will be attended by the Mayor of Ipswich, Councillor John Cook and Mark Pendlington, High Sheriff of Suffolk, who will proceed to the Church from Ipswich Town Hall in official robes at 7.15pm.

The service offers Ipswich residents the chance to come together to officially start celebrations for the Coronation weekend at a special service, led by Reverend Tom Mumford.

St Mary Le Tower Church can be found in Tower Street, Ipswich Town Centre. All Ipswich residents are welcome to attend the service. Seating at the church will be allocated on a first come, first served basis so early arrival is advised.
