Kojey Radical to support Paloma at Thetford

Forest Live, the summer concert series presented by Forestry England, has announced that hip-hop and progressive rap artist Kojey Radical will support British pop superstar Paloma Faith in the unique outdoor setting of High Lodge, Thetford Forest on 27 June 2024.

Having made an indelible mark on British music since, Kojey Radical released his debut album in 2022 with the record pioneering a sound he describes as “space and bass”. Widely regarded as one of 2022’s stand-out records, the album was shortlisted for the prestigious Mercury Prize and included in both album and video of the year categories at the MOBO Awards. In 2023, he was nominated in the Breakthrough Artist category at the BRIT Awards.

Blending everything from rap to jazz and spoken-word to funk, Kojey wraps narrations on the conditions of the country, the celebrations of community and the relationship with the self into soulful, rhythmic sounds that are built for festival stages.

Paloma is a familiar face for Forest Live. She returns to the event with more performances than any other female artist in its history, with every show so far selling out. She last joined the bill in 2018, when she performed at four different forests around the country.

Renowned for her empowering and immeasurable pop anthems including “Only Love Can Hurt Like This”, “Upside Down” and 2023’s “How You Leave A Man”, Paloma Faith’s unwavering confidence and candid self-expression has allowed her to emerge an esteemed music icon.

Kojey Radical and Paloma Faith will join a series of other world-class names set to hit Thetford Forest this summer, including Canadian rock icon Bryan Adams on 20 June, the legendary Sting on 22 June and charismatic hitmaker Tom Jones on 28 June.

Forestry England uses the money Forest Live raises to maintain beautiful natural areas for everyone to enjoy, run important conservation projects and keep growing trees. Last year they planted some 7.4 million trees, caring for the nation’s 1,500 woods and forests sustainably and welcoming 291 million visits in 2022-23. Everyone in England lives within a one-hour drive of one of the nation’s forests. Over two million people have enjoyed the Forest Live gigs over the last twenty-three years.

This year, they present the concerts in partnership with Live Nation’s Cuffe & Taylor for the first time. Gigs will take place at six forests throughout England — Delamere Forest, Dalby Forest, Sherwood Pines, High Lodge Thetford Forest, Westonbirt Arboretum and Cannock Chase Forest.
