New Mayor elected for Felixstowe
At its Annual Council Meeting on 21 May, Felixstowe Town Council elected Cllr Corrine Franklin as the Mayor of Felixstowe for the Municipal Year 2025/26. On the same evening Cllr Darren Aitchison was appointed as the Deputy Mayor.
On accepting the office of Mayor, Cllr Corrine Franklin, who has been Member of the Town Council since 2023, said:
“It is a great honour and privilege to be elected as Mayor of Felixstowe and I would like to thank all those that voted for me. A special thanks to the outgoing Mayor, Councillor David Rowe, who did a fantastic job last year.
My theme for this year is Community. I would like my Mayoral year to highlight all the people, organisations and groups which make Felixstowe the wonderful place it is. I am looking forward to the year ahead, meeting as many people as I can and representing the town at the various events and meetings throughout the year”.
