Renowned soloist for Ipswich Concert

Did you know? Ipswich Symphony Orchestra has been Ipswich’s own orchestra for over 100 years. A century later ISO still prides itself on presenting classical concerts and bringing renowned soloists to perform at the Corn Exchange with conductor Adam Gatehouse.

On Sunday 29th November the programme includes classical favourites by Rachmaninov, Beethoven and Borodin. Borodin’s beguiling tone-poem In the Steppes of Central Asia is followed by Beethoven’s emotive 4th piano concerto.

The soloist Khanh Nhi Luong, born in Vietnam, has already built a prestigious career in Europe and the USA and was a prizewinner in the 2024 Leeds International Piano Competition. Known for her vivid artistry, her concerts this year have included concertos in Cleveland USA and with the St. Petersburg Philharmonic Orchestra. Completing the programme is  Rachmaninov’s thrilling 2nd Symphony, one of today’s most loved works.
