Competition for budding young writers
Eastern Angles is looking for the most imaginative fairytale in all the land as they invite young writers of Suffolk to take part in their Golden Fairytale Writing Competition. Taking inspiration from their upcoming Christmas show Rumplestiltskin, there’s some golden prizes up for grabs for the winners!
Magical beasts and fire-breathing dragons. A wolf in grannie’s clothing and a farmer with magic beans. A fairytale can be many things and this Christmas Eastern Angles is challenging young writers aged 7-12 to create their own. The rules? Stories must be imaginative, and must feature something gold! Written stories can be up 500 words, or you can choose to express your story through a narrative video recording or pictures.
There will be one winner aged 7-9 and one aged 10-12. The two lucky winners will receive tickets to see Rumplestiltskin at the Sir John Mills Theatre and catch a behind-the-scenes glimpse of the show in an exclusive backstage tour; as well as win free books (thanks to Suffolk Libraries) and a £25 voucher to spend at Dial Lane Books.
The Eastern Angles Golden Fairytale Competition is open to young people aged 7-12, submissions are open from Friday 20th October until Friday 24th November.
