Floods: keep animals safe

The RSPCA is urging animal owners to follow urgent advice to keep pets, livestock and wildlife safe during Storm Babet.

Parts of England and Wales are braced for severe rain, flooding and powerful winds over the next 24 hours and the animal charity is calling on people to take action to ensure the welfare of animals.

The Met Office has issued more than 280 flood warnings across England and Wales and rising water levels could impact on the natural habitats of wild fowl and other wildlife, while high winds pose risks to livestock.
